Welcome to CartPause

By using CartPause, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CartPause iOS application and website.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CartPause, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our service.

Description of Service

CartPause is an iOS application that helps you shop with intention by introducing a waiting period before purchases. The service includes:

  • Saving items you’re considering purchasing via the iOS Share Extension
  • Automatic product detail extraction from shared URLs
  • Customizable waiting periods (72, 48, or 24 hours, 1 week, or 2 weeks)
  • Local push notifications when your pause expires
  • Tracking your savings over time
  • iCloud sync across your Apple devices

Subscriptions and Billing

Free Trial

CartPause Pro may offer a free introductory trial period. If a free trial is available, you will not be charged during the trial period. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Subscription Plans

CartPause Pro is available as a monthly or yearly subscription. Prices are displayed in the app at the time of purchase and may vary by region.

Payment and Renewal

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → CartPause Pro). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support.

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use CartPause only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the application
  • Not use the service to harm others or violate their rights
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Intellectual Property

CartPause and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by CartPause and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Third-Party Services

CartPause processes product URLs from third-party retailer websites to extract product information. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for any third-party retailers. Product information (names, prices, images) is provided by those retailers and may not always be accurate or up to date.

Data and Privacy

Your data is stored locally on your device and synced privately via your personal iCloud account. CartPause does not require an account and does not collect personal information. Your use of CartPause is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

CartPause is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Product information extracted from retailer websites will be accurate or complete
  • The service will result in any particular amount of savings
  • Defects will be corrected in any specific timeframe

Savings figures shown in the app are estimates based on items you chose to skip and may not reflect actual money saved.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CartPause shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold CartPause harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of CartPause after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of CartPause shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
